Αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση ΙΧ (τόπος - κατασκευή) 9ο Εξάμηνο -Τμήμα Β
Το μάθημα αφορά στο σχεδιασμό χώρων φιλοξενίας. Σημαντικό ζητούμενο αποτελεί η σχέση του αρχιτεκτονήματος με τις ιδιαίτερες συνθήκες και το περιβάλλον του του φυσικού ή αστικού τοπίου στο οποίο εντάσσεται.
θέματα που έχουν δοθεί στα πλαίσια του μαθήματος υπήρξαν, η δημιουργία ιαματικών λουτρικών εγκαταστάσεων με ξενοδοχειακή μονάδα στην περιοχή Θέρμες της Ξάνθης, Ξενοδοχειακή μονάδα στο λιμένα Θάσου κ.α. Το συνθετικό θέμα υποστηρίζεται από θεωρητικές εισηγήσεις.
Architectural Design ΙΧ (place -construction) 5th year Design Studio Β
The studio course focuses on a landscape, rich in thermal mineral springs, at a remote mountainous area of the Prefecture of Xanthi, near the borders between Greece and Bulgaria. The site becomes a kind of platform to devise structures and also the physical context for analysis and design of special facilities. A key aim of the design studio consists the concept of an holistic integration of architecture into the specific natural environment, associated with the existence of thermal mineral springs in the area. Facilities: thermal spa with a small scale accommodation infrastructure / hotel. The constructions demand a gradual "dilution" to the landscape and their transformation into a "walk‐passage"
Αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση III - 3ο Εξάμηνο
Το μάθημα αφορά στα ζητήματα κατοίκησης σε αστικό περιβάλλον. Το συνθετικό θέμα του εξαμήνου είναι μια μονοκατοικία. Μέσα από τη διαδικασία σύλληψης και σχεδιασμού οι φοιτήτριες και οι φοιτητές του δευτέρου έτους, προσεγγίζουν τα σύνθετα θέματα του χώρου ως απόπειρα για τη δημιουργία ενός "δοχείου ζωής" σε σχέση με τις ανάγκες και τα όνειρα των ανθρώπων που τον κατοικούν.
Architectural Design III ( 2nd year Design Studio)
The course concerns on the issues of habitation and more specifically on a single family's residence. Through the process of conception and design, 2nd year students have to approach the complex issues of architectural space and design, as an attempt to create a "vessel of life", in relation to the daily needs and desires of the habitants.
Αρχιτεκτονική σύνθεση IV - 4ο Εξάμηνο
Το μάθημα αφορά τη συλλογική κατοίκηση σε αστικό περιβάλλον. Το συνθετικό θέμα είναι η μελέτη μιας μικρής πολυκατοικίας, η οποία αναπτύσσεται καθ' ύψος. Το κτίριο προορίζεται για μόνιμη διαμονή τεσσάρων μη ισοδύναμων νοικοκυριών. Στο ισόγειο ζητείται ο σχεδιασμός ενός εκθεσιακού χώρου-πολυχώρου μέσα στα προβλεπόμενα όρια του οικοπέδου.
Architectural Design 4 ( 2nd year Design Studio)
The course regards to the collective habitation in urban environment. The theme focuses on the design of a small scale apartment building, intended for permanent family accommodation. On the ground floor intended for a multipurpose exhibition space.

Αστικός Σχεδιασμός -Προγραμματισμός και Σύνθεση Αστικών χώρων (4ο έτος)
Η περιοχή μελέτης βρίσκεται κοντά στο κέντρο της Καβάλας, αποτελεί θαλάσσιο όριο της πόλης και σημείο του αστικού ιστού με σημαντικές ιδιαιτερότητες καθώς διαμορφώνει μέρος των λιμενικών εγκαταστάσεων. Στο ετήσιο συνθετικό θέμα του μαθήματος προτείνεται η μετεγκατάσταση των παραπάνω χρήσεων και η απελευθέρωση του χώρου, ώστε να ανασχεδιαστεί πλήρως ως ενιαίος υπαίθριος χώρος, με στόχο τη μετατροπή του σε ένα περιβάλλον πολιτιστικών δρώμενων, αναψυχής, ήπιων αθλητικών δραστηριοτήτων, περιπάτου και χαλάρωσης. Εξαίρεση αποτελεί το μεγάλο επίμηκες κτίριο στο μέτωπο των πρώην λιμενικών εγκαταστάσεων στο οποίο καλούνται οι ομάδες των φοιτητών να παρέμβουν. Οι φοιτητές στα πλαίσια του θέματος αποκαλύπτουν ή ανατρέπουν μέρος των βασικών δομικών στοιχείων του, μετατρέποντάς το σταδιακά σε μεγάλες πλατφόρμες αστικού εδάφους με πολλαπλές χρήσεις στα όρια της "κτιριακότητας".
Urban Design ( 4th year Design Studio)
The study area constitutes part of the south sea-front of the city, forming a peculiar junction with the urban fabric. In the area there are particularly auxiliary buildings and warehouses. The one year design studio proposes the demolition of the building fabric inside the site, releasing the area for its redevelopment into a single public place, at the same time, transforming it into an environment, designed to be used for cultural events, recreation, soft sporting activities, walking and relaxation. The large oblong building situated at the waterfront exempted from demolition; students asked to manipulate the building envelope and structure, reversing – revealing its key structural components, in order to reshape – transform it into an essentially elevated public space. The study area becomes a kind of a "platform" for the development of structures and configurations; In this context, the key design challenges are: the restoration of the city's relationship with the sea, the visual and functional connection of the study area with the urban fabric, and ultimately the formation of a new identity for the area.

ΤΟΠΙΟ ΚΑΙ ΑΡΧΙΤΕΚΤΟΝΙΚΗ / LANDSCAPE AND ARCHITECTURE

Τοπίο και Αρχιτεκτονική (2ο έτος)
Τo μάθημα αφορά στη συγκρότηση μιας διαλεκτικής σχέσης του τόπου με την αρχιτεκτονική. Το συνθετικό θέμα: "Σχεδιασμός και ένταξη κέντρου περιβαλλοντικής ευαισθητοποίησης στον ποταμό Νέστο", συντάσσεται και οργανώνεται σε έναν ιδιαίτερο τόπο με έντονα φυσικά χαρακτηριστικά στο "μονοπάτι των στενών του Νέστου". Το μονοπάτι είναι λαξευμένο στο βράχο και δημιουργήθηκε τον 19ο αιώνα για την εξυπηρέτηση των εργατών που κατασκεύασαν τη σιδηροδρομική γραμμή. Η έννοια της "ένταξης" που αποτελεί βασικό αντικείμενο του μαθήματος. Η κατασκευή οφείλει να φτάσει στα όρια της απορρόφησής της από τον τόπο, σταματώντας εκεί που είναι ακόμη διακριτή και η μορφή καθορίζεται με σαφήνεια και συνέπεια.
LandScape and Architecture ( 2nd year Design Studio)
The studio course explores the context of a dialectical relationship between place and architecture. The given theme: "Design of an environmental education centre for the Nestos River," drafted and organized in a special place with strong physical features inside "the narrow path of Nestos river." A trail, carved into the cliff, was created during the 19th century to serve the railway workers. The concept of "integration" is a principal object of the studio. The construction needs to reach the limits of a potential absorption into the place, stopping where it is still distinct, while its form clearly defined.
